Al Qaeda Confirms Bin Laden's Death !

Fox News is reporting that Al Qaeda has confirmed Bin Laden's death on several militant Islamist websites.

The confirmation appeared as a statement posted on the websites signed by the "the general leadership" of Al Qaeda. The statement paves the way for Al Qaeda to pick a successeor to Bin Laden who will likely be his deputy Ayman al-Zawahri, a prominent meber of the organization.

The statement was posted on May 3 and was the first statement issued since the daring raid by US Navy Seals. The authenticity of the posts could not be confirmed but the posts appeared on websites where Al Qaeda traditionally posts.

"We stress that the blood of the holy warrior sheik, Usama bin Laden, God Bless him, is precious to us and to all Muslims and will not go in vain." We will remain, God willing, a curse chasing the Americans and their agents, following them outside and inside their countries."

"Soon, God willing, their happiness will turn to sadness, their bllod will be mingled with their tears."

There was no explanation on how Al Qaeda would retaliate.

"It is impossible, impossible. Sheik Osama didn't build an organization to die when he dies," the statement read. "The university of faith, Quran and jihad from which bin Laden graduated will not close its doors," it added.

"The soldiers of Islam will continue in groups and united, plotting and planning without getting bored, tired, with determination, without giving up until striking a blow," the statement.

It said bin Laden was killed "along an established path followed by the best of those who came before him and those who will come after him."

In the statement, Al Qaeda also called on Pakistanis to rise up in revolt against its leaders to "cleanse the shame."It also said that an audio message bin Laden recorded a week before his death would be issued soon.

The posters of the statement seemed unaware of the news that bin Ladens had been buried at sea. The post warned against mishandling or mistreating bin Laden's body and demanded that he be handed over to his family, saying:
"any harm (to the body) will open more doors of evil, and there will be no one to blame but yourselves."

Al Qaeda Planned 9/11 Ten Year Anniversary Attack on Railways

Reuters is reporting that Al Qaeda was considering an attack on the US Rail system on the 10 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The information was obtained during the daring raid that killed Bin Laden in Pakistan'

Evidence was found indicating that Bin Laden and his associates were discussing or planning a possible rail attack in the United States on September 11 of this year.

Homeland Security and other US agencies were pouring over the captured information from the Pakistan raid.

The information indicates that Bin Laden played a much bigger role in the planning of attacks and was not just a figurehead for Al Qaeda.

"He wasn't just a figurehead," the Times quoted a U.S. official as saying. "He continued to plot and plan, to come up with ideas about targets, and to communicate those ideas to other senior Qaeda leaders."

CIA Releases Aerial Photos and Diagrams of Bin Laden's Compound

The CIA has released aerial photography confirming the location of Bin Laden's Abbottabad mansion, as well as diagrams (via Ogle Earth).

Since last summer they had suspected the residence of an important enemy figure here.

This large compound, protected by concrete walls and barbed wire, was built to shelter Bin Laden in 2005. 22 people were living in the building, and all of them were killed or captured by Seal Team 6.

Bin Laden's Body Handled in "Accordance With Islamic Practice": WHY

The United States is treating Osama bin Laden’s body in “accordance with Islamic practice,” a White House official says.

Asked how bin Laden’s body will be treated, a senior administration official told reporters on a conference call that “we are ensuring that is handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition.”

Peter Bergen, a national security analyst, predicted on CNN that bin Laden’s face will be shown because of visual evidence that must be displayed. He also noted that Islamic law calls for bodies to be buried within 24 hours of death.

“In Islam, the body has to be buried in 24 hours,” Bergen said. “That will happen"

Really? He was buried at sea facing Mecca! I don't know about anyone else but I have a real problem with this. Why are we burying him in accordance with Islamic Practices? We don't owe the Islamic Jihadists anything! What religious practices did Bin Laden and crew follow when they exterminated 3,000 people in America on 9/11, including Muslims who were working in the Trade Center along with defenseless, innocent children? They got buried beneath tons of steel and concrete or vaporized all together in flames. The same goes for those in the Pentagon and on United Flight 93. What was left of them to bury properly in accordance with their beliefs?

I am so sick and tired of the Political Correct bull sh*t. We should have paraded Bin Laden's dead body in the streets at Ground Zero, the Pentagon and in Shanklsville,PA. Let the people rejoice in the victory thanks to our brave men and women in the US Military, especially the Navy Seals!

Then we should have wisked him off to an undisclosed landfill site and buried him there in Pig Guts! If there is anything that will scare a jihadist, it's not that he will be killed, they are prepared for that, it would be that he is covered in Pig guts or something similar involving a Pig. That would make him unclean and not acceptable to "Allah" and he would not get 72 virgins. But alas, we are the compassionate ones.

I am surprised that Obama did not order the Seals to offer Bin Laden a cigarette and a blindfold before they could shoot him.

God Bless the US Military for its due dilligence in killing Osama Bin Laden, but why did Obama have to ruin it by bowing to Islamic practice to someone who has killed more muslims than we have.

How the US Miltary Took Out Bin Laden

OSAMA BIN LADEN IS DEAD courtesy of the US Military, more secifically about 40 Navy Seals. The even better news is that no US personnel were injured or killed as of this blog entry. So how did this happen, well according to CNN:

In the dark of night, U.S. helicopters approached a high-walled compound in Pakistan on a mission to capture or kill one of the world's most notorious terrorist leaders.

Less than 40 minutes later -- early Monday morning in Pakistan -- Osama bin Laden was dead, along with four others inside the complex, and the U.S. forces departed with the slain al Qaeda leader's body to fulfill a vow that originated shortly after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.

The compound is in Abbottabad, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) north of the Pakistani capital of Islamabad. The city sits in a mountainous region of Pakistan and is not heavily populated. Many of the residents are army personnel.

While senior administration officials would not offer a breakdown of the U.S. mission's composition, a senior defense official said U.S. Navy SEALs were involved.

After years of intelligence work and months of following a specific lead, they traced a courier linked to bin Laden to the compound in Abbottabad.

The mission ordered Friday by Obama encountered outer walls up to 18 feet tall topped with barbed wire, with two security gates and a series of internal walls that sectioned off different portions of the compound, the senior administration officials said. The main structure was a three-story building with few windows facing the outside of the compound, and a third-floor terrace had a seven-foot privacy wall, they said.

Months of intelligence work determined that the compound was custom-built to hide a high-value terrorism suspect, almost certainly bin Laden. The officials noted there was no telephone or internet service at the dwelling, which was valued at more than $1 million, and its occupants burned their trash rather than leave it out for collection as other area residents did.

Calling the U.S. operation a surgical raid, officials said it was conducted by a small team and designed to minimize collateral damage. Upon landing, the team encountered resistance from bin Laden and three other men that resulted in a firefight.

In the end, all four of the combatants in the compound were dead, along with a woman whom one of the men used as a human shield, the officials said. Sources said bin Laden was shot in the head.

At some point, one of the assaulting helicopters crashed due to a mechanical failure, according to the officials. It was destroyed as the U.S. team flew away, they said.

Obama and the senior administration officials said no U.S. forces were harmed in the operation, which took place very early Monday morning Pakistan time.

U.S. officials said they used a number of methods to identify the body as bin Laden.

One official said it was clear to the assault force that the body matched bin Laden's description, but they used "facial recognition work, amongst other things, to confirm the identity."

A senior national security official told CNN that they had multiple confirmations that the body was bin Laden, saying they had the "ability to run images of the body and the face."

The key break involved one of the few couriers trusted by bin Laden, according to the officials. About two years ago, intelligence work identified where the courier and his brother lived and operated in Pakistan, and it took until August of last year to find the compound in Abbottabad raided Sunday, they said.

"When we saw the compound where the brothers lived, we were shocked by what we saw -- an extraordinarily unique compound," one senior administration official said. "The compound sits on a large plot of land in an area that was relatively secluded when it was built. It is roughly eight times larger than the other homes in the area."

Noting that the courier and his brother had no discernible source of wealth to live at such a property, intelligence analysts concluded the compound was "custom-built to hide someone of extraordinary significance," the official said, adding: "Everything was consistent with what experts thought Osama bin Laden's compound would look like."
