Sheriff Arpaio: Obama birth certificate a ‘forgery’

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Thursday he suspects the birth certificate President Obama released last year is a “computer-generated forgery” and also raised questions about the authenticity of the president’s selective service registration card.

Sheriff Arpaio said  there is evidence crimes have been committed by someone and his investigation continues.

“Based on all of the evidence presented and investigated, I cannot in good faith report to you that these documents are authentic,” Sheriff Arpaio said. “My investigators believe that the long-form birth certificate was manufactured electronically and that it did not originate in paper format as claimed by the White House.”

Investigators said the image of the birth certificate released by the White House appears to have been created originally on a computer, rather than having been originally made on paper and then scanned.

The Top 10 Obama Budget Travesties

Obama’s fiscal year 2013 budget is full of gimmicks, half-truths, over-optimistic assumptions and questionable policies. Here is the top ten list:

1. Tax Hike Mania

President Obama is seeking nearly $2 trillion in new taxes, including doubling the top capital gains and dividend rates, and sharply increasing the estate tax. The White House wants to hit the airline industry with a “takeoff fee,” the banking industry with a “financial crisis responsibility fee,” and the oil industry with billions of dollars in new hikes. The budget foresees the end of both the temporary payroll- tax cut and the Bush tax cuts—giving a double blow to the economy at the start of 2013.

2. Spendathon

The president continues his out-of-control spending agenda -- $47 trillion over 10 years -- funding frivolous projects, Utopian dreams, and wealth redistribution policies. He wants billions of dollars in new funding for renewable energy programs, unemployment assistance, jobless training, and infrastructure rebuilding. Obama continues his love affair with high-speed rail, asking for billions in new funding. He even wants U.S. taxpayers to pony up $800 million to aid the “Arab Spring.”

3. War Savings

Somehow the president is counting as budget cuts the almost $1 trillion that he is “saving” in money that won’t be spent in Iraq and Afghanistan. By the same logic, think how much can be “saved” by counting as future budget cuts the money we won’t be spending for wars in Germany, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam.

4. Over-Optimistic Forecasting

One way to make a budget look good is to make rosy economic assumptions, as a growing economy brings in revenue and curtails many expenses, such as unemployment benefits and food stamps. While most economists are predicting a 2 percent growth rate at best for the U.S. economy next year, the White House is boldly predicting a 3 percent gain in 2013 and 4.1 percent by 2015. As the Obama tax hikes kick in, watch for any recovery to whither.

5. Deficit Inaction

Not content with the trillions of dollars of debt he has already racked up, the president’s budget forecasts another $6.7 trillion in deficit spending over the next decade. With no real deficit reduction plan on the table, it won’t be long before interest payments on the national debt crowd out much of the funding needed for discretionary spending programs.

6. Entitlement Ennui

President Obama doesn’t even pretend to deal with the burgeoning entitlement crisis in his budget other than to take a whack at senior’s health benefits. The president offered no plan to keep Social Security solvent, even as the two-year payroll tax cut propels the system closer to bankruptcy. His Medicare savings don’t come from reforms containing health costs, but by giving power to Washington bureaucrats to deny coverage to senior citizens.

7. Class Warfare

President Obama brings his class warfare tirade from the campaign trail to the budget plan as the “wealthy”—generally defined by families with an income of over $250,000—will be hit with multiple tax increases. The end of the Bush cuts will raise the top marginal tax rate to 39.6%, the tax on investment income will rise sharply, there will be a 3.8% surtax imposed by ObamaCare, and a “Buffet rule” requiring a higher minimum tax. Obama even goes after charitable giving and homeowners, limiting the value of itemized deductions for the “wealthy” in those categories.

8. Political Document

Rather than offering a serious spending plan, the president’s budget is a political roadmap for his 2012 re-election campaign, reinforcing his “tax-the-rich” rhetoric. The phony numbers are so obvious that Senate Democrats aren’t even going to bother to take up the measure, extending their streak to four years without producing a budget.

9. Budget Ignorance

It is clearly amateur hour at the White House. When Obama’s chief of staff, Jack Lew, went on the Sunday talk shows to defend the president’s budget, he predictably attacked Republicans for the inability to get a spending plan through the Senate, decrying the 60 vote threshold needed to get something passed in the upper chamber. How is it that the president’s key aide doesn’t know that Senate rules forbid a filibuster on a budget, meaning that passage requires a simple majority of 51 votes?

10. Bogus Savings

The president claims he is cutting $4 trillion in spending over 10 years, but as the House Budget Committee points out, $2 trillion of that comes from measures already enacted into law. Double counting is a tried and true method of accounting sleight of hand. Only in Obamaland, does increasing spending by $7.3 trillion, instead of $9.48 billion, constitute fiscal restraint.

10 Ways To Reduce Gasoline Prices Now

Things President Obama could (but won’t) do to reduce domestic gasoline prices by November 2012.

1. Commit to a strategic goal of North American energy security. That includes reasonable and responsible domestic drilling. That includes taking the lead on the Keystone XL Pipeline; we could find a way to make it happen while addressing the legitimate environmental concerns of Nebraskans. It includes a commitment to maintaining the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and opening ANWR.

2. Ditch the anti-industry, anti-capitalist rhetoric. It is not the President’s or the government’s place to decide when an industry’s profitability is “high enough”. High oil company profits fund more drilling; more drilling means more future supply and lower prices. Besides, American oil companies are not owned by a cabal of wealthy executives, but by America’s pension funds, mutual funds and private investment accounts. “They” are “us”.

3. Stop targeting the oil industry for punitive tax treatment. States such as Texas and Louisiana have production tax abatement programs that have successfully encouraged new drilling. If you don’t believe that the threat of increased taxes discourages drilling, just ask Governor Perry or Governor Jindal.

4. Realize that Uncle Sam is in the energy business and is a partner in industry’s success. Oil and gas royalties are the federal government’s #2 source of revenue, after the income tax. Offshore slowdowns hurt not only industry and jobs, but government revenue.

5. Recognize that industry does not need to be led by government; industry needs to be unleashed and encouraged to innovate. The resurgence of the domestic energy sector was rooted in the private sector, not matter how much President Obama and Dr. Chu would like to take credit for it. The growth in North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Texas happened in spite of the federal government, not because of it.

6. Trust that no oil operator wants to be the “next BP”. The BP spill cost that company something on the order of $40 billion. Industry safety and environmental commitment is motivated more out of self-interest and less out of fear of the government. When it comes to federal regulation, the nation would be better served by Sheriff Taylor, not Barney Fife.

7. Return offshore permitting to the pre-Macondo pace. Your overreaction to the BP Spill has cost on the order of 500,000 barrels per day of domestic oil production from the Gulf of Mexico. The ridiculous “Worst Case Discharge” calculation as a routine part of offshore permitting is engineering malpractice, in my humble opinion. The professional staff of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement is capable of reasoned regulation, but they currently operate in fear of their political masters.

8. Declare hydraulic fracturing & well design to be the regulatory domain of the states, not the EPA. Geology and environment vary widely; Pennsylvania is not Louisiana is not North Dakota is not California. It is insanity to think that one broadly-applied set of rules can be applied to regulate industry without suffocating development.

9. Rescind the recently-enacted royalty rate increase for new onshore Federal oil and gas leases. Secretary Salazar’s stated rationale for increasing the government’s take by a whopping 50% – from 12.5% to 18.75% of gross production – was to equate onshore royalties with the offshore royalty rate. That makes no sense. Higher royalties mean less drilling, poorer economics of production and premature abandonment of wells. Besides, an IHS-CERA Study recently showed that the federal government’s total take of offshore cash flows makes the Gulf of Mexico the second-most punitive fiscal regime in the world, after Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela. [Update: In keeping with the First Rule of Holes, rolling back the royalty rate increase may be the first thing the government should do if it is serious about reducing energy prices. - Ed.]

10. Encourage development of a nationwide distribution system of natural gas as a transportation fuel. Natural gas is clean, abundant and nearly 100% domestic. Its potential as a transportation fuel has scarcely been tapped.

Bonus #11: Get real about the promise of alternative fuels. Recently you said: “You’ve got a bunch of algae out there; If we can figure out how to make energy out of that, we’ll be doing alright.” Maybe so, but I will stick my neck out and say it ain’t gonna happen, at least not in my lifetime, not on a scale that will impact pump prices.

Energy policy will be a President Obama’s key vulnerability in November. His goal has always been to encourage alternative fuels by raising conventional energy prices. Alternative energy may poll well, but the average voter who fills his tank with $4+ gas on the way to the ballot box will certainly “Hope for Change”.

Poll: Health care law hurts Obama in 2012

In a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll of the nation's dozen top battleground states, a clear majority of registered voters call the bill's passage "a bad thing" and support its repeal if a Republican wins the White House in November. Two years after he signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act— and as the Supreme Court prepares to hear arguments about its constitutionality next month — the president has failed to convince most Americans that it was the right thing to do.

"Mandating that you have to buy the insurance rubs me the wrong way altogether," says Fred Harrison, 62, a horse trainer from York County, Pa., who was among those surveyed and supports repeal even though he likes some provisions of the law. "It should be my own choice."

"It seems like it forces you to take health care (coverage), and you don't really have a say in the matter," says Beth Leffew, 26, a college student from Cincinnati. She says the president "didn't really listen to people" when they objected to the proposed bill. "It seems like he just shoved it right through Congress."

Though the law has avid supporters, especially in the president's Democratic base, the net effect among middle-of-the-road voters is negative for him. What's more, the issue unites the GOP when the party is fractured among competing presidential contenders.

In the poll, Obama lags the two leading Republican rivals in the 12 states likely to determine the outcome of a close race in November:

•Former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum tops Obama 50%-45% in the swing states. Nationwide, Santorum's lead narrows to 49%-46%.

•Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney edges Obama 48%-46% in the swing states. Nationwide, they are tied at 47% each.

Romney also has a health care problem: Among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents in the battleground states, 27% say they are less likely to support him because he signed a Massachusetts law that required residents to have coverage. Just 7% say it makes them more likely to back him.

"If they used Mitt Romney's Massachusetts health care program as a guideline for the Obamacare thing, what's the difference?" says Robert Hargrove, 37, of Sanford, N.C., rejecting Romney's explanation of differences between the state and federal laws. Hargrove, a truck driver for a propane company, scoffs: "It's just a bigger version. They put it on steroids."

The swing states poll of 1,137 registered voters was taken Feb. 14-21. In addition, a national survey of 881 registered voters was taken Feb. 20-21. The margin of error for each is +/-4 percentage points.

Poll:72% of Americans and 56% of Democrats Say Obamacare Unconstitutional

Seventy-two percent of American adults and 56 percent of self-professed Democrats say that the provision in the health-care law signed by President Barack Obama that requires individuals to purchase health insurance or pay a fine is unconstitutional, says the Gallup Poll.

Among Republicans, according to the poll, 94 percent say the mandate is unconstitutional and 6 percent say it constitutional. Among Independents, 70 percent say it is unconstitutional and 21 percent say it is constitutional. In contrast to the 56 percent of Democrats who say the mandate is unconstitutional, only 37 percent say it is constitutional.

Gallup also asked survey respondents whether they strongly favor, favor, oppose or strongly oppose repealing the health-care law if a Republican president is elected this fall. A plurality of 47 percent favored repealing the law, including 26 percent who said they strongly favored repeal and 21 percent who said they favor it. Forty-four percent said they oppose repealing the law, including 20 percent who said they strongly favor repeal and 24 percent you said they favor it.

Among Republicans, 87 percent said they favor repealing the health-care law, including 56 percent who said they strongly favor repeal and 31 percent who said they favor it. Among Democrats, 77 percent said they oppose repeal, including 39 percent who said the strongly oppose repeal and 38 percent who said the oppose it.

Gallup also asked the survey respondents if they believed that the health-care law in the long-run make their family's health-care situation better, not much different or worse. Seventy-two percent said it would not make much difference (34 percent) or make things worse (38 percent).

Only 24 percent told Gallup they thought the health-care law would make their family's health-care situation better.

The survey polled 1,040 American adults Feb. 20-21

The Proper Way To Dispose Of A Damaged Koran ? Burn It !

The recent outrage over the US Military "accidentally" burning Korans in Afghanistan is all Talibum generated propaganda. According to the gentleman featured in the is PBS Video, the proper and respectful way of disposing of the Koran is to BURN IT !

So one has to ask why the outrage when the Koran's that were used by captured enemy combatants as a way to send coded messages to each other by writing on the pages of the Koran thereby altering the original text and meaning, are burned. That is of course, if one has to ask at all.

It appears that the Talibums are successfully running a propaganda program using the burned Koran's as a catalyst to generate hatred toward America. Unfortunately it has cost the lives of soldiers fighting there as a result and our Appeaser in Chief is apologizing to these people ! For What !
