Recent Poll Reveals Majority Oppose Trump Impeachment

The latest Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey reveals that a majority of American voters oppose the impeachment of President Trump.

Of 1,295 registered voters, 37 percent supported impeaching President Trump, 43 percent favored “no action,” 60 percent of Democrat voters believe Trump should be impeached and removed altogether. However, independents are not on board:

Thirty-seven percent support impeaching and removing the president. Sixty percent of polled Democrats say the president should be impeached and removed, but only 36 percent of independents are in favor. Twenty percent of voters say Trump should be censured by Congress.

On the question of collusion, 47 percent agreed that Mueller did not find evidence of a criminal conspiracy, compared with 35 percent who said he did.

Voters are split on the question of obstruction, with 42 percent saying Mueller found evidence and 41 percent saying he didn’t.

Fifty-three percent said bias played a role in the FBI opening an investigation into Trump, and 52 percent said the investigation was an effort to undermine the president.

Voters were surveyed May 29–30, after Mueller’s public remarks on the debunked investigation into alleged Trump campaign and Russia collusion.

His statement incited mass calls for impeachment, as a number of Democrat 2020 hopefuls are attempting to appeal to the far-left base.

According to The Hill full poll results will be posted online later this week.
