I Told You So.......MSNM Already Demonizing Air Marshal

Remember what I said yesterday on my show folks, that as soon as the dust settled they would be criticizing the Air Marshall who shot this man who stated he had a bomb ? Well it's already starting, and of course from our good friends in the main Stream News Media. Check out some of the headlines about the incident below:

U.S. air marshal kills passenger

In this headline the International Herald Tribune seems to suggest that the Air Marshall just KILLED a passanger in cold blood.

Look at Bloomberg's headline:

U.S. Air Marshal Shoots American Airlines Passenger

or this posted on Rediff.com:

US air marshal guns down passenger

Or how about this whopper from MSNBC:

Air marshal guns down man at Miami airport

Wow ! An Air Marshal just GUNNED down a man at Miami Airport, no mention of the man posing a threat in the headlines.

Or this excerpt from an AP story:

The man, identified as Rigoberto Alpizar, a 44-year-old U.S. citizen, was gunned down on a jetway just before the American Airlines plane was about to leave for Orlando, near his home in Maitland.

Or from the CBC News in Canada:

US air marshal kills plane passenger

And of course we can't forget our good friends at the NY Times:

Air Marshals Shoot and Kill Passenger at Miami Airport

The MSNM is trying to demonize the Air Marshal in the headlines and hope you dont read THE REST OF THE STORY.

HERE ARE SOME HEADLINES THAT MORE ACCURATELY AND RESPONSIBLY PORTRAY WHAT HAPPENED:

Air marshal kills passenger in confrontation at Miami airport

Sky marshal shoots, kills man claiming to have bomb on jet at Miami airport

Hang onto your hats ladies and gentlemen because its going to get worse no bomb was found and passangers and the man's wife are claiming that he had a mental condition and was not taking his medication. The MSNM will be hanging this Marshal out to dry soon as you can see by their SUGGESTIVE headlines....J.R.

I've seen a strong contingent of bloggers brace for a left-side angle on this; but strangely there has been press from both the right and the left choosing to use their headlines to shine the spotlight on the Air Marshal's actions rather than the fact that there had been a bomb threat:

Federal Air Marshals vs. The Free Press

Unfortunately our "politicians, press, etc." are focusing on the wrong aspect of the problem. I like a public safety individual on flights with a lot of people. I do not like the "security" imposed, in the way it is done, it does little good.

I am all for personal freedom. I think we need to diminish government as much as possible, but what harm does invisible extra security do.

For the guy killed. Sorry he died but, if he was sick, what was he doing on the plane where he could endanger others?

Did TSA check the man for bombs or guns and declare him safe by allowing him into the boarding area?

Would the air marshals have shot the man if the man hadn't declared himself to have a bomb...implication being that if one doesn't announce one has a bomb, one will be left alone?!?

What does this say about the effectiveness of TSA if they check a guy, approve him to pass through to a secure area, then he gets shot to death by another government agency because he says he has a bomb. Looks like the air marshals don't trust the TSA's work...and we're paying for both of them..............

you are a tool.

My dear Anonymous. What was the marshal supposed to do, when the guy announced he had a bomb? Laugh at him and say "C'mon, you can't really have that bomb, TSA checked you, so there's no way you can have a bomb or something"??? You can't be serious. I would like to see such marshal fired, or worse.

My dear Raygun. What if he was saying "I saw a bomb". Since we all know that all terrorists announce that they have a bomb, anyone whoever utters the word bomb should be shot. Interesting that he had LEFT THE PLANE and that only the air marshals heard him claim to have a bomb.

If you trust TSA screeners as never making a mistake, to bypass security or have a screener as an accomplice, then there is no need for Air Marshals on a plane. Or maybe simply no reason for YOU to be on a plane without medication.

You do not have to be a terrorist to commit a crime. You do not have to be mentally competent. I'd suggest that you have to be mentally ill to try something as evil as murder.

Air Marshals are there for one reason. To protect the passengers, the crew, the aircraft and themselves. They do not examine a passenger for weeks or months to decide if they are ill and then make a diagnosis on the illness.

It is sad that someone died for saying he had a bomb but not having one. The bottom line is regardless of mental health issues, the Air Marshals acted in good faith to protect innocent people.

How long did it take the media to come out with information on the man's mental health? And people really believe that Air Marshals should get that info in a matter of seconds and decide whether that info makes the man innocent or possibly even more dangerous because of his mental state?

I think some of these people who seem to have all of the answers shold become law enforcement to show the others how they should really be doing the job.

they should have just shot this guy
