Navy, Marine Bases Blocking Conservative Sites ?

According to a recent article in the WorldNet Daily Navy and Marine bases are blocking access to their site.

WorldNetDaily, the leading independent Internet news site, has been blocked from computers on U.S. Navy and Marine Corps bases across the country for an undetermined period of time, and an investigation has been launched into how – and why – that happened.

On the Hyscience Site:

Navy, Marine bases blocking WorldNetDaily.com And Other Conservative Sites

So, why is it that WorldNetDaily, the leading independent Internet news site and one of the most popular among members of the military, as well as other conservative sites, have been blocked from computers on U.S. Navy and Marine Corps bases across the country for an undetermined period of time?

An even more pertinent question is just who is responsible for telling the contractor that runs the Internet system for the Navy and the Marine Corps, to censor conservative sites while allowing access to CNN, FoxNews, DrudgeReport, BBC, NPR, MSNBC "and all manner of off-beat news pages."

Now, I realize that I don't get the number of visitors that World Net Daily does, but I have also noticed within the past few weeks that I have not seen any visits from any Navy or Marine bases.

I'll be checking into it.
