Reuters is reporting that Al Qaeda was considering an attack on the US Rail system on the 10 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The information was obtained during the daring raid that killed Bin Laden in Pakistan'
Evidence was found indicating that Bin Laden and his associates were discussing or planning a possible rail attack in the United States on September 11 of this year.
Homeland Security and other US agencies were pouring over the captured information from the Pakistan raid.
The information indicates that Bin Laden played a much bigger role in the planning of attacks and was not just a figurehead for Al Qaeda.
"He wasn't just a figurehead," the Times quoted a U.S. official as saying. "He continued to plot and plan, to come up with ideas about targets, and to communicate those ideas to other senior Qaeda leaders."
