The Daily Caller is reporting that former Obama aide Reggie Love said at an event in Los Angeles sponsored by The Artists & Athletes Alliance in July that he, Pete Souza and the White House photographer, Marvin Nicholson, played cards during the Bin Laden raid.
“Most people were like down in the Situation Room and [the president] was like, ‘I’m not going to be down there, I can’t watch this entire thing.’ So he, myself, Pete Souza, the White House photographer, Marvin [Nicholson], we must have played 15 games of spades,” said former Obama aide Reggie Love.
After the May 1, 2011 raid, the White House released a photo of the president looking serious in the Situation Room surrounded by his national security team as the raid was ongoing. But was that photo photo shopped? I'm not expert by any means, however the photo looks a bit odd, Obama is very small compared to others in the room and appears to be a bit more distant in the photograph.
Another explanation for the picture of Obama in the Situation Room is that he posed for a photo op and then left or that he watched the raid and Love is full of bull.
