Despite Plea from Obama Administration, Military Ban on Sodomy, Bestiality Restored

Despite a plea from the Obama administration that the military ban on sodomy and bestiality be repealed, a House-Senate conference committee has restored the ban to the final version of the National Defense Authorization Act.

The sodomy-bestiality ban would have been repealed by the version of the bill that had been approved by the Senate.

A spokesman for the House Armed Services Committee told CNSNews.com Wednesday that the Obama administration had “made its pitch” on repealing Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice related to sodomy--but the members of the conference committee “were not persuaded” that the change was needed.

Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice says that “(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense. (b) Any person found guilty of sodomy shall by punished as a court-martial may direct.”

McClusky also credited public outrage directed at members of the Senate--who had voted 93-7 less than two weeks ago to repeal Article 125.

Religious Tolerance Resolution Backed by Obama Aligns With Islamic Bloc’s Interests

The head of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has acknowledged that a U.N. religious tolerance resolution heavily promoted by the Obama administration has the same aims as the Islamic bloc’s annual “religious defamation” resolutions, which Western democracies have consistently opposed for more than a decade.

In remarks delivered on his behalf to the State Department meeting – released by the OIC after the closed-door talks ended – OIC secretary-general Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu made it clear that, for the bloc of 57 Islamic states, the goal remains the same.

Passage of resolution 16/18, he said, “clearly demonstrated that, as a mature international organization, OIC was not wedded to either a particular title or the content of a resolution,” Ihsanoglu continued. “We just wanted to ensure that the actual matter of vital concern and interest to OIC member states was addressed.

Pelosi: Extending Unemployment Would Create ‘600,000 Jobs’

House Minority Leader Nut Job Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that extending unemployment benefits would add “600,000 jobs to our economy.”

She also said that the money from unemployment benefits creates a “safety net” for the U.S. economy because it “injects demand into the economy -- creating jobs.”

“The unemployment insurance extension is not only good for individuals. It has a macroeconomic impact. As macroeconomic advisers have stated, it would make a difference of 600,000 jobs to our economy.”

Poll: Over Half Say Obama Should Not Be Re-Elected

President Barack Obama's re-election prospects are essentially a 50-50 proposition, with a majority saying the president deserves to be voted out of office  according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll.

Obama's approval rating on his handling of the economy overall remains stagnant: 39 percent approve and 60 percent disapprove.

Heading into his re-election campaign, the president faces a conflicted public that does not support his steering of the economy, the most dominant issue for Americans, or his reforms to health care, one of his signature accomplishments.

The poll found that a majority of adults, 52 percent, said Obama should be voted out of office while 43 percent said he deserves another term. The numbers mark a reversal since last May, when 53 percent said Obama should be re-elected while 43 percent said he didn't deserve four more years.

Obama's overall job approval stands at a new low: 44 percent approve while 54 percent disapprove. The president's standing among independents is worse: 38 percent approve while 59 percent disapprove. Among Democrats, the president holds steady with an approval rating of 78 percent while only 12 percent of Republicans approve of the job he's doing.

Only 26 percent said the United States is headed in the right direction while 70 percent said the country was moving in the wrong direction.

The president won a substantial number of women voters in 2008 yet there does not appear to be a significant tilt toward Obama among women now. The poll found 44 percent of women say Obama deserves a second term, down from 51 percent in October, while 43 percent of men say the president should be re-elected.

The poll found unpopularity for last year's health care reform bill, one of Obama's major accomplishments. About half of the respondents oppose the health care law and support for it dipped to 29 percent from 36 percent in June. Just 15 percent said the federal government should have the power to require all Americans to buy health insurance.

Even among Democrats, the health care law has tepid support. Fifty percent of Democrats supported the health care law, compared with 59 percent of Democrats last June. Only about a quarter of independents back the law.

Obummer economy: 1 in 2 Americans are poor or low-income

Squeezed by rising living costs, a record number of Americans — nearly 1 in 2 — have fallen into poverty or are scraping by on earnings that classify them as low income.

The latest census data depict a middle class that's shrinking as unemployment stays high and the government's safety net frays. The new numbers follow years of stagnating wages for the middle class that have hurt millions of workers and families.

"Safety net programs such as food stamps and tax credits kept poverty from rising even higher in 2010, but for many low-income families with work-related and medical expenses, they are considered too `rich' to qualify," said Sheldon Danziger, a University of Michigan public policy professor who specializes in poverty.

Today is BILL OF RIGHTS DAY - December 15, 1791

The original Constitution, as proposed in 1787 in Philadelphia and as ratified by the states, contained very few individual rights guarantees, as the framers were primarily focused on establishing the machinery for an effective federal government. A proposal by delegate Charles Pinckney to include several rights guarantees (including "liberty of the press" and a ban on quartering soldiers in private homes) was submitted to the Committee on Detail on August 20, 1787, but the Committee did not adopt any of Pinckney's recommendations. The matter came up before the Convention on September 12, 1787 and, following a brief debate, proposals to include a Bill or Rights in the Constitution were rejected. As adopted, the Constitution included only a few specific rights guarantees: protection against states impairing the obligation of contracts (Art. I, Section 10), provisions that prohibit both the federal and state governments from enforcing ex post facto laws (laws that allow punishment for an action that was not criminal at the time it was undertaken) and provisions barring bills of attainder (legislative determinations of guilt and punishment) (Art. I, Sections 9 and 10). The framers, and notably James Madison, its principal architect, believed that the Constitution protected liberty primarily through its division of powers that made it difficult for an oppressive majorities to form and capture power to be used against minorities. Delegates also probably feared that a debate over liberty guarantees might prolong or even threaten the fiercely-debated compromises that had been made over the long hot summer of 1787.

The Truth About Occupy Wall Street

Contrary to the past demonstrations of the Tea Party, to whom the news media likes to compare to OWS, Occupy Wall Street has sadly attracted the dregs of America, giving everyone and anyone who has nothing better to do than degrade their country a platform to create chaos, without presenting a solution to whatever problems they are complaining about.

It’s no surprise that the media of late has backed off from any more parallels, because the OCW has evolved into a national tragedy and an embarrassment for anyone who supports them.

Nevertheless, the president, not surprisingly, gave his support to the entire movement, which means he must find no issue with people defecating on the American flag, crapping on police cars, having sex in the open, raping women, smoking dope, carrying “Hate America” and other signs that support Communism, Socialism and anarchy in general.

More than five thousand people have been arrested by police for disorderly conduct alone. Don’t tell me it’s the cops’ fault, please. That’s an insult to the men and women in blue that are out there with no other job than to protect you and me, and to enforce laws. It’s not their choice, it’s their duty.

While these folks are complaining about the fat cats in corporateAmerica and unanimously denounce capitalism (upon which our great country was established), those same hypocrites are partaking of the corporate world on a daily basis without blinking an eye. Yes, they live and breathe corporateAmerica, from the clothes they wear and the cell phones they use, the airlines they fly and the food they eat. Think Verizon, AT&T, Samsung, Ford, Chrysler, Visio, Dell, TacoBell, McDonalds, Gucci, Nikes, Posturepedic, Stouffers, Marlboro and Coors Light for starters.

These are the freeloaders who seek to be coddled by the taxpayer, to be provided the essentials of life for free; living quarters, food, education, health care, and plenty of money for drugs, sex and legal defense.

‘Natural Born’ Supreme Court Citations Disappear

On October 20, 2011, New Jersey attorney Leo Donofrio accused online legal research behemoth Justia.com of surgically redacting important information from their publication of 25 U.S. Supreme Court opinions which cite Minor v. Happersett, an 1874 decision which arguably contains language that appears to disqualify anyone from presidential eligibility who wasn’t born in the country to parents who were citizens. According to the decision in Happersett:

At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. (Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162, 167 [1874])

Voters Finally Blame Obama, Not Bush for Failing Economy

For years, Barack Obama has diverted attention from his own economic decisions by blaming his predecessor, George W. Bush, for the nation’s financial woes, from deficits to debt to taxes to Medicare and Medicaid spending.

But that strategy has reached the end of its effectiveness, according to a new poll that reveals more people blame Obama for the failed state of the economy now than blame Bush.

A new poll from the public-opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies shows that 22.3 percent of the registered voters contacted say Obama is the “one person” most responsible for the nation’s continuing economic troubles.

To the same question, 19.1 percent said George W. Bush, but critical to the coming 2012 election will be the fact that of the independents, on whose votes elections often are decided, nearly 23 percent blame Obama and only 15.5 percent blame Bush. They put in second place members of Congress, which is half controlled by Democrats, the poll revealed, ahead of Bush.

Obama's latest excuse on economy: 'We didn't know how bad it was'

President Barack Obama said Tuesday he wishes he knew the full extent of the economic crisis when he took office, if only so he could have let Americans know just how tough the coming years would be.

"I think we understood that it was bad, but we didn’t know how bad it was,” Obama said in an interview with KIRO in Seattle. "I think I could have prepared the American people for how bad this was going to be, had we had a sense of that."
Obama’s comments came as he sat down with a string of local TV reporters on Tuesday morning to sell his proposal to extend the payroll tax cut while highlighting the end of the Iraq war. He also did brief interviews – all under 10 minutes – with WVEC in Norfolk, Va., WEAR in Pensacola, Fla., and KOAA in Colorado Springs, Colo.

So now Obama is trying to get you to believe that his campaign and he as a Senator did not know how bad the economy was until after he got elected ? Oh please, Mr. President, how stupid do you think the American people are ?  If what Obama says is true why was he so steadfastly confident that they could "fix" everything in two years.  This is Obama after the "Blame Bush" strategy wears off.  Looking for another scapegoat.

Time‘s ’Person of the Year’…‘The Protester’ ?

Well, nobody should be shocked here, this is the main stream news media supporting their buddy Obama and the "occupy movement".  The reality is that in Egypt, Libya and even Yemen, the "occupy movement" had nothing to do with those uprisings.  The Times mentions that the movement spread across the Middle East to Europe and eventually to the U.S..  I submit to you that the media is trying to compare apples to oranges here.  Surely those in the Middle East faced oppressions and tyrannical governments and revolution and violent protests were probably warranted to change their systems of government.

The main stream news media has spent and continues to spend great amounts of time trying to prop up the "Occupy Movement" largely because the American People have rejected it.  Poll after poll suggest that either the people are not familiar with the "Occupy Movement" and their agenda or that they do not support it.   The media does not tout these polls because they do not reflect their agenda.

When the Tea Party movement was going strong and "peacefully assembling" in protest of government corruption and overspending the media did their utmost best to demonize the Tea Partiers in any way possible spreading lies and propaganda about the movement and its members.  The reality is that the Tea Party movement is a peaceful, non violent gathering of Americans who feel that the country is going in the wrong direction and want to place it back on track.  However, the "Occupy Movement" is protest against the private corporations and anyone who is doing well in this country.  The "Occupy Movement" wants the freebies, the handouts.  This is a far cry from people who are actually protesting real tyranny in the Middle East.

Funny that "Time" didn't consider "SEAL TEAM SIX" or maybe "Gabriel Giffords".  Support the protesters in the Middle East who made real change, yes, support the "Occupy Movement"  where's my free stuff snivling whiners, NO WAY !

Islamic governments call for speech curbs in America

The State Department began a three-day, closed-door meeting Monday to talk about U.S. free speech rules with representatives from numerous Islamic governments that have lobbied for 12 years to end U.S. citizens’ ability to speak freely about Islam’s history and obligations.

Free speech advocates slammed the event as an effort to gradually curb public criticism of Islam, but it was defended by Hannah Rosenthal, who heads the agency’s office to curb anti-Semitism.

The meeting is a great success, she said, because governments in the multinational Organisation for Islamic Cooperation have dropped their demand that criticism of Islamic ideas be treated as illegal defamation. Member countries include Pakistan, Iran, Saudia Arabia and Qatar.

Obama Trashed on MSNBC

In recent weeks a narrative unflattering to Barack Obama has emerged around the table: Obama doesn’t like his job. He doesn’t particularly like people and is in the wrong line of work.

An even more damning appraisal was offered today: Obama doesn’t think he has failed America. He thinks America has failed him. Or as Joe Scarborough encapsulated the concept, Obama believes our version of democracy is a “stumbling block to his greatness.”

Whopper of the Day: DNC Chair Claims Unemployment Has Not Increased Under Obama

Contrary to Rep. Wasserman Schultz’s claims, the unemployment rate rose for the first 10 months of Obama’s presidency, peaking at 10.2 percent before remaining in the high 9 percent range for the majority of 2010. The unemployment rate did decline in November – after hovering around 9 percent for most of the fall – but that was due to a large number of workers giving up on their search for a job, not because the economy was creating a significant amount of new jobs.

In fact, most of the reductions in the unemployment rate have been due to factors other than job creation, including the hiring of temporary Census workers in 2010, discouraged workers leaving the workforce, and seasonal hiring.

Witness: Hollywood Shooter Yelled ‘Allahu Akbar!’

A deranged man pointed his gun at more than a dozen, and opened fire at random drivers and pedestrians in Hollywood Friday morning. The gunman was identified later as 26-year-old Tyler Brehm. He shot three people, including one 40-year-old man in the jaw who was driving a Mercedes, and is now in critical condition.

Atlas Shrugs reports that few news outlets are reporting one witness’s claim that the shooter was screaming “Allahu Akbar.” This KTLA 5 report has the witness making the claim at (2:37):

Atlas Shrugs notes that Reuters, CBS news, The Hollywood Reporter, and KFAI reports all missed the “Allahu Akbar” detail.

Witnesses said that officers repeatedly told the man to drop his weapon before fatally shooting the gunman. AP reports that while shooting, Brehm was screaming that he wanted to die.
