Stupidest Quote of the week: Congress Mandating Health Insurance Like States Requiring Driver’s Licenses

Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) recently stated that the constitutional authority for Congress to require individuals to purchase health insurance is the same that allowed for Medicaid and Medicare, and for states to require driver's licenses.

The last time I knew, Medicare and Medicaid were not mandatory, and for your information Senator Warner, although you do have to get a drivers license to drive in these 50 states, it is not mandatory that you obtain a drivers license if you don't wish to drive. No one is making you get one whether you want one or not and no one is fining you if you don't.

What a ridiculous comparison!

The Warner goes on to say that people without health care are currently going into hospitals and being treated and we are paying the bill and that is unfair. Huh? Isn't the Obama administration trying to tell us that there are 46 million people out there without health care who are at risk, now suddenly they can walk into a hospital and get it for free, it's just that we pay for it.

Well, again, Senator Warner, if 46 million people without health care are actually able to still get free health care on our dime, then there are actually no persons in the country who cannot get health care as you Democrats keep saying there are.

Furthermore, Senator Warner, wouldn't it be fair to say that if we are paying for those 46 million without health care that logic would dictate that we will be paying for 300 million people to get health care if the government run health care program passes in the Senate. That would mean that we would be paying for 254 million more than we are now.

So tell me again why we would want ObamaCare.

What a joke, and these people are running the country, scary.

Fort Hood Shooter Attended Same Radical Mosque As 9/11 Hijackers

Things are beginning to unravel as you dig deeper into the Fort Hood Shooter's background. It has now been reportedby the Telegraph, a British newspaper, that Major Nidal Malik Hasan attended a mosque which was led by a radical imam who was reported to be a "spiritual adviser" to three of the 9/11 hijackers.
The preacher at the time was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Yemeni scholar who was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations.

Hasan's eyes "lit up" when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki's teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas, the scene of Thursday's horrific shooting spree.

Charles Allen, a former under-secretary for intelligence at the Department of Homeland Security, has described al-Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen, as an "al-Qaeda supporter, and former spiritual leader to three of the September 11 hijackers... who targets US Muslims with radical online lectures encouraging terrorist attacks from his new home in Yemen".

Wow, a British newspaper can find this information, but the military couldn't. Too much PC going on.

What The PelosiCare Bill Says In A Nutshell

The health care bill that House Speaker Pelosi is bringing to a vote (H.R. 3962)today is 1,990 pages, here are some of the provisions of the bill you should know.
• Sec. 202 (p. 91-92) of the bill requires you to enroll in a "qualified plan." If you get your insurance at work, your employer will have a "grace period" to switch you to a "qualified plan," meaning a plan designed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. If you buy your own insurance, there's no grace period. You'll have to enroll in a qualified plan as soon as any term in your contract changes, such as the co-pay, deductible or benefit.

• Sec. 224 (p. 118) provides that 18 months after the bill becomes law, the Secretary of Health and Human Services will decide what a "qualified plan" covers and how much you'll be legally required to pay for it. That's like a banker telling you to sign the loan agreement now, then filling in the interest rate and repayment terms 18 months later.

On Nov. 2, the Congressional Budget Office estimated what the plan will cost. An individual earning $44,000 before taxes who purchases his own insurance will have to pay a $5,300 premium and an estimated $2,000 in out-of-pocket expenses, for a total of $7,300 a year, which is 17% of his pre-tax income. A family earning $102,100 a year before taxes will have to pay a $15,000 premium plus an estimated $5,300 out-of-pocket, for a $20,300 total, or 20% of its pre-tax income. Individuals and families earning less than these amounts will be eligible for subsidies paid directly to their insurer.

• Sec. 303 (pp. 167-168) makes it clear that, although the "qualified plan" is not yet designed, it will be of the "one size fits all" variety. The bill claims to offer choice—basic, enhanced and premium levels—but the benefits are the same. Only the co-pays and deductibles differ. You will have to enroll in the same plan, whether the government is paying for it or you and your employer are footing the bill.

• Sec. 59b (pp. 297-299) says that when you file your taxes, you must include proof that you are in a qualified plan. If not, you will be fined thousands of dollars. Illegal immigrants are exempt from this requirement.

• Sec. 412 (p. 272) says that employers must provide a "qualified plan" for their employees and pay 72.5% of the cost, and a smaller share of family coverage, or incur an 8% payroll tax. Small businesses, with payrolls from $500,000 to $750,000, are fined less.

Besides reducing Medicare funding by an estimated $500 billion, the bill changes how Medicare pays doctors and hospitals, allowing the government to dictate treatment decisions.
• Sec. 1302 (pp. 672-692) moves Medicare from a fee-for-service payment system, in which patients choose which doctors to see and doctors are paid for each service they provide, toward what's called a "medical home."

The medical home is this decade's version of HMO-restrictions on care. A primary-care provider manages access to costly specialists and diagnostic tests for a flat monthly fee. The bill specifies that you may have to settle for a nurse practitioner rather than a physician as the primary-care provider. Medical homes begin with demonstration projects, but the HHS secretary is authorized to "disseminate this approach rapidly on a national basis."

A December 2008 Congressional Budget Office report noted that "medical homes" were likely to resemble the unpopular gatekeepers of 20 years ago if cost control was a priority.
• Sec. 1114 (pp. 391-393) replaces physicians with physician assistants in overseeing care for hospice patients.

• Secs. 1158-1160 (pp. 499-520) initiates programs to reduce payments for patient care to what it costs in the lowest cost regions of the country. This will reduce payments for care (and by implication the standard of care) for hospital patients in higher cost areas such as New York and Florida.

• Sec. 1161 (pp. 520-545) cuts payments to Medicare Advantage plans (used by 20% of seniors). Advantage plans have warned this will result in reductions in optional benefits such as vision and dental care.

• Sec. 1402 (p. 756) says that the results of comparative effectiveness research conducted by the government will be delivered to doctors electronically to guide their use of "medical items and services."

While the bill will slash Medicare funding, it will also direct billions of dollars to numerous inner-city social work and diversity programs with vague standards of accountability.

• Sec. 399V (p. 1422) provides for grants to community "entities" with no required qualifications except having "documented community activity and experience with community healthcare workers" to "educate, guide, and provide experiential learning opportunities" aimed at drug abuse, poor nutrition, smoking and obesity. "Each community health worker program receiving funds under the grant will provide services in the cultural context most appropriate for the individual served by the program."

These programs will "enhance the capacity of individuals to utilize health services and health related social services under Federal, State and local programs by assisting individuals in establishing eligibility . . . and in receiving services and other benefits" including transportation and translation services.

• Sec. 222 (p. 617) provides reimbursement for culturally and linguistically appropriate services. This program will train health-care workers to inform Medicare beneficiaries of their "right" to have an interpreter at all times and with no co-pays for language services.

• Secs. 2521 and 2533 (pp. 1379 and 1437) establishes racial and ethnic preferences in awarding grants for training nurses and creating secondary-school health science programs. For example, grants for nursing schools should "give preference to programs that provide for improving the diversity of new nurse graduates to reflect changes in the demographics of the patient population." And secondary-school grants should go to schools "graduating students from disadvantaged backgrounds including racial and ethnic minorities."

• Sec. 305 (p. 189) Provides for automatic Medicaid enrollment of newborns who do not otherwise have insurance.

Ft.Hood Shooter Yelled "Allah Akbar" During Rampage

According to Fox News, survivors of the shooting rampage at Fort Hood yesterday, said the shooter,Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, shouted "Allah Akbar!" — "God is great!" in Arabic before opening fire !

"That was reported by a few of the witnesses that were at the scene," Cone's deputy, Col. John Rossi, told Fox News.

Federal law enforcement officials told The Associated Press that Hasan had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings. The officials said they are still trying to confirm that he was the author.

One of the Web postings that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates a suicide bomber to a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades.

"To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause," the Internet posting reads. "Scholars have paralleled (sic) this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers."

Before Thursday's shooting, Hasan reportedly gave away all of his furniture along with copies of the Koran to neighbors, KXXV-TV reported.

The above statement should have been a tell tale sign to the authorities, most people who are going to commit suicide give away their valuable possessions just before they kill themselves. In this case he must have known he would be shot dead by responding Police or planned to shoot himself when he was through. This amplifies the importance of the heroic actions of the female police officer who shot Hasan because he was probably not through yet, and probably one of the reasons why he didn't kill himself. Her quick actions saved lives.
Authorities have not ruled out that Hasan was acting on behalf of some unidentified radical group, a senior U.S. official in Washington said. He would not say whether any evidence had come to light to support that theory.

PelosiCare Would Increase Premiums, Ration Care and Fail To Bring Down costs

Former CBO Director, Douglas Holtz-Eakin, said the House Democrats' health care bill would be neither durable nor desirable as it would raise health insurance premiums, ration health care, and fail to bring down the costs.

Holtz-Eakin said:
"We are going to generally raise the cost of existing insurance to those who already have it and that's a majority of Americans and then put in place a fiscally rickety way to get insurance to those who do not have insurance."

"As a result I think that these are reforms which are not durable in any deep sense and are not desirable from the point of view of policy," he said.

He further said that many of the tax provisions in the bill were not sustainable revenue measures but budgetary "gimmicks" designed to manipulate the CBO's 10-year scoring process.
"It continues to be true that it does not 'bend the cost curve,'" said Holtz-Eakin. "This does not deliver on the fundamental promise of real health care reform, which is to have services of the same quality or greater at lower cost, and lower cost growth certainly."

"This sets up instead a large entitlement spending program that grows at 8 percent a year as far as the eye can see, and which [current] CBO Director Doug Elmendorf said earlier this year did not bend the cost curve," said Holtz-Eakin. "It leaves the architects with only gimmicks to disguise this problem."

"It front-loads all of the taxes and back-loads all of the spending so as to give the appearance of balance over the 10-year window," he explained.

"And I think it's quite real that the Medicare payment reductions promised are politically and substantively unrealistic," he said. "There's been no change in the delivery system that would allow one to believe that you can cut in half the basic growth rate of the Medicare spending program, compared to history."

"The House has a real clear pay-for in the tax on millionaires, half a million for single [filers] and a million for couples, but that tax is not indexed for inflation and, to my eye," he said, "looks exactly like the Alternative Minimum Tax - a tax targeted on literally just over 100 high-income individuals but is now threatening the middle class year after year."

"The heart of this bill is to repeat two of the greatest policy errors this country has made: to create large, unfunded entitlement spending programs, and to have a tax law that is not politically viable over the long haul," he said.

"The budgetary aspect is crucial given the outlook for our economy, which we're on track to triple debt over the next 10 years and run deficits of a trillion dollars as far as 10 years from now," said Holtz-Eakin.

Swine Flu Peaks Before Vaccine Makes Widespread Distribution

According to recent findings by the CDC, one in five U.S. children have already experienced the flu this month, and most of those were likely H1N1 swine flu cases.

Out of nearly 14,000 suspected flu cases tested during the week ending on October 10, 2009, 99.6% of those were influenza A, and the vast majority of those were H1N1 swine flu infections. (http://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/) This is a very strong indication that swine flu infections have peaked during October, 2009.

Researchers from Purdue University just published a paper in the October 15 issue of Eurosurveillance (a science journal about communicable disease) in which researchers stated that the H1N1 swine flu epidemic would peak during "week 42" (the end of October). Week 42 just passed.

The AJC is also reporting this week that swine flu is "retreating" in Georgia, where hospital visits from the flu are markedly down (http://www.ajc.com/health/swine-flu...) and fewer illnesses are being reported in schools, too.

Even the WHO is reporting a downward trend in many areas, saying, "In tropical areas of the world, rates of illness are generally declining, with a few exceptions. ...In tropical Asia, of the countries that are reporting this week, all report decreases in respiratory disease activity." (http://www.who.int/csr/don/2009_10_...)

Meanwhile the vaccine shortage has been causing chaos according to news reports and many vaccination events are being canceled as a result as well.

This is what you expect when a President declares a National Emergency for something that really isn't, scaring the American Public, and creating the resulting chaos. There were actually reports of women who were stuffing pillows under their clothes to feign pregnancy so that they could get the vaccine. Sad and disgraceful.

Troops Hope Afghanistan Mission Sacrafices Not in Vain

While Obama fiddles, Afghanistan burns and some of those serving while rockets and bombs are falling around them worry that the mission has lost the support of the American people and that their sacrifices and those of their fallen comrades have been in vain.
"What about the troops who died giving their lives for this mission?" Sgt. Coble asked.

"We would not be honoring the lives of the troops who died if we left here without finishing our mission, and many troops are concerned that the American people have forgotten why we came here to begin with," she said.

"If we left Afghanistan right now, its equivalent to somebody going up to help a rape victim, engaging in a fight to help that rape victim, then giving up because they didn't want to get hurt themselves and allowing that rape to continue," she said. "Because essentially that's what the Afghan population is: They are victims, and we need to follow through with what we promised."

A soldier who wished to remain anonymous asked:
"Do the people in Washington even remember we're here?"
A Major had this to say:
"I have hope in what we're doing here," Maj. Espinoza said, as he donned armor in preparation for the short ride from International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) headquarters to Kabul airport. "Look, if I didn't have hope, I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing. It's as simple as that."
Sgt. Coble urged Americans to think about the sacrifices U.S. troops have made in Afghanistan and the consequences of narrowing the mission before it has more time to succeed.
"We're not just numbers," she said. "I'm not going to say morale is high with everything going on at home. We're here for a reason. This is not a draft military. When people go out on the streets in America and say, 'Bring our troops home,' it infuriates me. Don't go out there talking about bringing our troops home, let us decide when to come back home. We're here because we want our children, my son, to have a safer world, and we know the risks."

These brave men and women deserve better than this folks let's make sure that are voices are heard in support of our brave men and women in the military and their missions in the war on terror. We must remember that while we are at home busy fighting the socialist agenda of the ObamaNation, our brave men and women are dodging bullets, rockets and IEDs both in Afghanistan and in Iraq on a daily basis.

All of this while Obama declares national emergencies on a Pandemic that has peaked and hasn't really even been a Pandemic, travels around the country to push his socialist agenda in regards to health care and runs off to Norway to pick up his undeserved award. In the meantime our brave men and women in Afghanistan are in peril due to his indecisiveness on sending in more troops that McChrystal asked for.

Please go to America Supports You and let the troops know you have not forgotten them and that you support the vital missions they are on in Afghanistan and Iraq. It doesn't cost a dime and it means so much to them to hear from you, the American People, please do it right now, it only takes a few moments.

Thanks,
Jay

Obama Declares National Emergency For Swine Flu; The Question is Why Now?

On Saturday President Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency. The White House said the declaration would allow medical officials to bypass certain federal requirements.

Even though the H1N1 pandemic appears to have peaked out, President Obama has now declared a national emergency over swine flu infections.

According to the CDC, swine flu infections have already peaked, and the pandemic is on its way out. Peak infection time was the middle of October, where one in five U.S. children experienced the flu, says the CDC. Out of nearly 14,000 suspected flu cases tested during the week ending on October 10, 2009, 99.6% of those were influenza A, and the vast majority of those were confirmed as H1N1 swine flu infections.

When you realize that about 30,000 people die from the regular Flu every year and no national emergency has ever been declared it gives one pause to wonder why the Swine Flu is being treated differently when you consider the lower death toll.
According to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius the vast majority of people who get swine flu "so far are not terribly ill," Sebelius noted, saying most will recover fine at home with some rest and fluids. And they shouldn't race to doctors' offices seeking tests to find out what kind of flu they have - H1N1 or the regular strains that circulate every winter - because treatment is the same.

"The flu is the flu is the flu right now," Sebelius said.

Does this sound like an official who thinks this is a "National Emergency", it sure doesn't to me.

As I wrote earlier this week, a CBS investigation revealed that H1N1 flu cases are not as prevalent as we are told by the government, the CDC, WHO, and the corporate media.

A recent study published Oct. 15 in Eurosurveillance, a scientific journal devoted to epidemiology and the surveillance and control of communicable diseases, shows that the H1N1 vaccine will arrive too late to help most Americans who will be infected during this flu season. The study was conducted by professors Sherry Towers and Zhilan Feng of, respectively, Purdue's statistics and mathematics departments.

"The model predicts that there will be a significant wave in autumn, with 63% of the population being infected, and that this wave will peak so early that the planned [U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] vaccination campaign will likely not have a large effect on the total number of people ultimately infected by the pandemic H1N1 influenza virus," the authors wrote in their study.

The authors said that this is the week, through Oct. 24, during which the greatest number of people would be infected. The vaccination program has barely started in the U.S.

"The model predicts that the peak wave of infection will occur near the end of October in week 42, with 8% of the population being infected during that week. By the end of 2009, the model predicts that a total of 63% of the population will have been infected," the authors wrote in a conclusion that ignored the effects of a CDC vaccination program.

Recently the state of New York backed off of mandating their health care workers get the H1N1 vaccine after many of the workers protested the policy, certainly if this were really thought to be a national emergency, these health care workers would have been required to be immunized against the Swine Flu.

So for all intensive purposes there does not seem to be a need for a declared National Emergency for the Swine Flu, which would give the Obama administration the power to force U.S. Citizens to get vaccinated against their will, all the while making big money for the companies who manufacture the vaccine.

ObamaCare Fails Senate Test Vote 47 - 53

The Senate took its first floor vote on Obamacare yesterday and the White House lost.

The New York Times reports:
"Democrats lost a big test vote on health care legislation on Wednesday as the Senate blocked action on a bill to increase Medicare payments to doctors at a cost of $247 billion over 10 years. The Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, needed 60 votes to proceed. He won only 47. And he could not blame Republicans. A dozen Democrats and one independent crossed party lines and voted with Republicans on the 53 to 47 roll call."

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel tried to smooth passage of the $1 trillion-plus health care overhaul by transferring a quarter of its cost into a separate, and completely unpaid for, bill. This apparently didn't sit well with Democratic Senators like Evan Bayh (D-IN), Kent Conrad (D-ND), Russ Feingold (D-WI), Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Bill Nelson (D-FL), and Ron Wyden (D-OR).

Wyden told the Times:
"On the eve of a historic debate on health care, it's essential to show a commitment to real reform," including fiscal responsibility.

A recent Gallup poll showed that Americans, more than ever, feel that health care costs will increase, the quality of health care will decrease and that insurance company requirements will become complicated under ObamaCare.

By 58% to 38%, Americans would generally prefer to see Congress deal with health care reform "on a gradual basis over several years" rather than "try to pass a comprehensive health care reform plan this year."

Reforms such as equalizing the tax treatment of health insurance purchases, allowing people to purchase health insurance across state lines, and allowing states more flexibility on Medicaid spending are what the American people want, why aren't the Democrats and Obama listening.

CBS: Swine Flu Not As Prevalent As Feared

CBS recently published this latest article in regards to the H1N1 Virus (Swine Flu), in the article they open with the following two paragraphs:

If you have been diagnosed "probable" or "presumed" 2009 H1N1 or "swine flu" in recent months, you may be surprised to know this: odds are you didn’t have H1N1 flu.

In fact, you probably didn’t have flu at all. That's according to state-by-state test results obtained in a three-month-long CBS News investigation.

The article goes on to say:

While we waited for CDC to provide the data, which it eventually did, we asked all 50states for their statistics on state lab-confirmed H1N1 prior to the halt of individual testing and counting in July. The results reveal a pattern that surprised a number of health care professionals we consulted. The vast majority of cases were negative for H1N1 as well as seasonal flu, despite the fact that many states were specifically testing patients deemed to be most likely to have H1N1 flu, based on symptoms and risk factors, such as travel to Mexico.

One has to wonder what the alarm is all about, the Swine Flu is attributed to about 1,700 deaths worlwide, about 30,000 people in the U.S. alone die from the regular Flu every year. So I can't understand what the urgency is in the development of this vaccine and its hurried distribution.

58 % Have Unfavorable Opinion of Nancy Pelocchio

A recentRasmussen Poll indicates that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi remains the most well known and most disliked of Congressional leaders.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 58% of likely voters view Pelosi unfavorably, up just one point from September. That percentage has fallen in a range of 53% to 64% since Congress began its session in February.

Thirty-four percent (34%) of voters give Pelosi a favorable review, showing no change from last month. That number includes just 11% who view her very favorably. Since February, the percentage of voters who rate Pelosi favorably has ranged from 30% to 36%.

Pelosi's fellow Democrat, House Majority Leader Harry Reid, is viewed unfavorably by 45% of voters.

Reid can expect to face a difficult re-election this year in Nevada, where recent Rasmussen polling shows him trailing two potential Republican challengers.

Pelosi, AKA Nancy Pelocchio,AKA The Wicked Witch of the West on my show folks, has a favorable poll rating that rivals former President Bush's ratings. Where is the Main Stream News Media, why aren't they plastering Pelosi's poll numbers all over the TV and Newspapers like they did Bush. Okay, don't answer that because we all know why.

These numbers speak for themselves folks, people are fed up, they have had it with the Congressional Democrats and their ram it through at all cost attitudes toward Health Care Reform, The Cap and Trade Bill, Amnesty for Illegals and their arrogance toward our military and intelligence agencies who protect our country.

People are disgusted with a Congress (Controlled by Democrats since 2006) that is not listening to the American People. People are tired of being labeled "unamerican", "political terrorists", etc..

Remember the screed of Hillary Clinton during the Bush years when she said:

"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration!"

Well that was probably the one time that I actually agreed with Billary, we do have the right to disagree and debate with any administration, INCLUDING OBAMA'S !

Suddenly folks, if you disagree, if you voice your opinion or opposition to Obama's health care plans or other socialist agenda plans you are "racist", "unamerican", "Terrorists", even "Nazis"!

So where is Billary now with her screed, why is she not defending the people who are opposing, debating, and disagreeing with the CURRENT administration, suddenly she has fallen silent.

One thing I believe for sure is that if this Health Care plan passes, those who voted for it will be held accountable in 2010, this is the only reason why the Democrats have not used the "nuclear option" to pass the bill, they are trying to get some Republicans to help make its passage look bi-partisan, and unfortunately some Rinos are falling in lock step.

'Kenyan-born Obama All Set for US Senate' ?

The following article was emailed to me, judge for yourself folks. !

Hat Tip to Sarah Brooks

Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

The allegations that horrified fellow Republicans and caused his once-promising candidacy to implode in four short days have given Obama a clear lead as Republicans struggled to fetch an alternative.

Ryan’s campaign began to crumble on Monday following the release of embarrassing records from his divorce. In the records, his ex-wife, Boston Public actress Jeri Ryan, said her former husband took her to kinky sex clubs in Paris, New York and New Orleans.

Barrack Obama

"It’s clear to me that a vigorous debate on the issues most likely could not take place if I remain in the race," Ryan, 44, said in a statement. "What would take place, rather, is a brutal, scorched-earth campaign – the kind of campaign that has turned off so many voters, the kind of politics I refuse to play."

Although Ryan disputed the allegations, saying he and his wife went to one ‘avant-garde’ club in Paris and left because they felt uncomfortable, lashed out at the media and said it was "truly outrageous" that the Chicago Tribune got a judge to unseal the records.

The Republican choice will become an instant underdog in the campaign for the seat of retiring Republican Senator Peter Fitzgerald, since Obama held a wide lead even before the scandal broke.

"I feel for him actually," Obama told a Chicago TV station. "What he’s gone through over the last three days I think is something you wouldn’t wish on anybody."

The Republican state committee must now choose a replacement for Ryan, who had won in the primaries against seven contenders. Its task is complicated by the fact that Obama holds a comfortable lead in the polls and is widely regarded as a rising Democratic star.

The chairwoman of the Illinois Republican Party, Judy Topinka, said at a news conference, after Ryan withdrew, that Republicans would probably take several weeks to settle on a new candidate.

"Obviously, this is a bad week for our party and our state," she said.

As recently as Thursday, spokesmen for the Ryan campaign still insisted that Ryan would remain in the race. Ryan had defended himself saying, "There’s no breaking of any laws. There’s no breaking of any marriage laws. There’s no breaking of the Ten Commandments anywhere."

Obama's Nobull Peace Prize

Just when you think that things could not get anymore ridiculous in the ObamaNation here comes the Norwegian Nobel Institute awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Barrack Hussein Obama.

Geir Lundestad, director of the Institute, said that the decision to pick Obama was unanimous. (Apparently occupied by a ship of fools)

The deadline for nominations is Feb. 1, meaning the president was nominated after being in office for just 11 days.

That's right folks, he was nominated for the award 11 days into his Presidency, 11 days, what could he have possibly accomplished in 11 days that would have qualified him for the award.

Perhaps the Presidents own words can best describe his worthiness:
"To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize," Obama said in brief remarks at the White House. "I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments" (And what pray tell would those have been?)

"All nations must take responsibility for the world we seek," (certainly Mr. President, so where are many of the other nations in helping us prosecute the war on terror) "We cannot tolerate a world in which nuclear weapons spread to more nations (unless of course it's an Islamic regime such as Iran, or a country run by a tin pot dictator such as N.Korea) We cannot accept the growing threat posed by climate change,(even though it's cause is mother nature and ol' sol) We cannot allow the differences between people to allow the way we see one another." (unless you're a police officer that acted stupidly in dealing with a racist black professor friend of mine)

The President emphasized the work he has done as commander in chief in pulling back forces from Iraq,(apparently failing to advise all that the pullback of forces was scheduled during the Bush administration, so all good old Commander in Grief was doing was following the timetable agreed to by President Bush and the Iraqi government)

The President went on to say:
"This award is not simply about the efforts of my administration" (You can say that again,Mr. President)

Let's face it folks, Obama, by his own admission doesn't deserve this award, it's as simple as that. So why did Obama get nominated? Many believe that it was a slap in the face to former President George W. Bush, who himself was a nominee for the award in 2002, basically giving the award to Obama because he is not Bush. (Boy you can say that again)

But if this is the case, and it most likely is, what does this say for the Norwegian Nobel Institute Nobel Peace Prize Award. To award the Peace Prize to spite former President Bush is juvenile at best and really goes to show just how meaningless the award has become.

No doubt there have been many deserving persons who have been nominated and won the award and this action certainly seems to taint the process and the prestige the award once held.

Obama Has Only Read Part of the Health Care Bill

According to CNSNews.com, White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs revealed yesterday that President Obama has only read "a decent part" of the Health Care Bill.

President Obama has spent the past few months months denouncing critics of the Health Care Bill and telling America what the Bill says and doesn't say about issues such as abortion and whether or not people will be able to keep their current Health Care insurance, yet now we discover he has read only "part of the bill".

Gibbs, during a press briefing on Monday, was asked whether Congress or the President would read the bill before signing it, if it were to pass. Gibbs replied:

"Well, I think he's read a decent part of the legislation that's been bandied around right now, and we should address this as with members of Congress when we have closer to a final piece of legislation."

As you all know whether or not Congress is reading, has read, or will read, the Health Care Bill, has been a bone of contention among us who oppose the current Health Care Reform Legislation. Our position is, how can anyone debate or vote on a bill they haven't read and for many, don't intend to read before they vote to pass it.

In July, House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) mocked the idea of reading the health care bill.
"What good is reading the bill if it's a thousand pages and you don't have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?" he said.

Last week, Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), a member of the Senate Finance Committee which has oversight over the legislation, said:
"I don't expect to actually read the legislative language because reading the legislative language is among the more confusing things I've ever read in my life."

The language in such bills is "arcane," "hard stuff to understand" and "incomprehensible."

And these people wonder why there is opposition to their proposed legislation. Most of them don't appear to have any idea what's contained in the bill and apparently some could care less. Just keep burdening the tax payers with a bill that will raise taxes, cut Medicare and Medicaid benefits for the elderly, and possibly leave people with little or no choice but the government option for health care.

All without having a clue about what they're voting on.

Dem Senator: Failure to Secure Olympics Bush's Fault

Senator Rowland Burris of Illinois, the Senator who was appointed to Obama's vacant Senate seat, blames George W. Bush for Chicago not getting the Olympics in 2016.

Burris stated in an interview, that the image of the U. S. has been so tarnished in the last 8 years that, even Barack Obama making an unprecedented pitch for the games could not overcome the hatred the world has for the U.S..

Typical Democratatic stratedgy in Congress, "it's Bush's fault". Burris went on to say that this is just another way Bush is now hurting Chicago. Yes blame Bush, disregard all the crime and corruption that has come out of Illinois over the last year.

The "Blame Bush" strategy will get tiring after a while folks, and the left will have to face the music, it's already beginning to happen

Millionaire Michael Mooreon:"Capitalism Did Nothing For Me"

Documentary film director Michael Moore, who has become a millionaire thanks to the profits from his movies, told CNSNews.com that "capitalism did nothing" for him.

CNSNews caught up with Moore in Washington,D.C. outside the Uptown Theatre just before the premier of his new film which criticizes capitalism, "Capitalism: A Love Story."
CNSNews.com asked: "Critics may say, when they see this movie, Michael Moore has amassed a fortune of over $50 million, some have said and -"

Moore said: "Really? Are you kidding me? Seriously? Wow. Where did it go?"

CNSNews.com then asked Moore: "Critics would say he's [Moore] been very successful under a capitalist system. How would you justify making a movie where you paint capitalism as evil?"

Moore said: "Well, capitalism did nothing for me, starting with my first film."

Really, Michael. Well according to Fortune Magazine, Mooreons films have grossed over $300 million worldwide.

Further Moore (sorry folks couldn't resist) he has reportedly was paid for directing, producing and creating "Fahrenheit 9/11" to the tune of $21 million by Disney

It gets better folks, Mooreon also made 50% of the profits from his film "Sicko" in the amount of $25 million plus profits from the DVD sales according to Vanity Fair

And, that's not all folks, the LA Times reported that Mooreon made over $17 million in profit from the sale of "Sicko" DVDs.

So Moore criticizes capitalism, but apparently capitalism works for him though.

Here's how I see it Mike, you made millions on your crockumentaries, so now you are well off, but hey, why should any other poor slob be able to do the same. Capitalism is now evil because I have millions, but I don't want anyone else to have millions so now I oppose it.

Oh, and hey Mike, since you are a supporter of his "Oneness", how about applying one of his principles in Socialism, you know since you think Capitalism sucks. You know what I'm talking about Mikey, redistribute the wealth!

Farmer's Daughter Disarms Terrorist Commander And Kills Him

Here is a great story that was published in the Telegraph

Rukhsana Kausar, 21, was with her parents and brother in Jammu and Kashmir when three gunmen, believed to be Pakistani militants, forced their way in and demanded food and beds for the night.

Their house in Shahdra Sharief, Rajouri district, is about 20 miles from the ceasefire line between Indian and Pakistani forces.

When they forced their way into Miss Kausar's home, her father Noor Mohammad refused their demands and was attacked.

His daughter was hiding under a bed when she heard him crying as the gunmen thrashed him with sticks. According to police, she ran towards her father's attacker and struck him with an axe. As he collapsed, she snatched his AK47 and shot him dead.

She also shot and wounded another militant as he made his escape.

Police have hailed the woman's bravery.

They said she would be nominated for the president's gallantry award.

She may also receive a reward if, as police believe, the dead terrorist is confirmed as Uzafa Shah, a wanted Pakistani LeT commander who had been active in the area for the past four years.

Miss Kausar said she had never fired an assault rifle before but had seen it in films and could not stand by while her father was being hurt. "I couldn't bear my father's humiliation. If I'd failed to kill him, they would have killed us," she said.

You have to love this folks, three big bad terrorists are taken out by a 21 year old farmers daughter. How humiliating it must be for the terrorists who escaped, one who was wounded when shot by the young lady, after she killed their commander who was beating her father.

Good thing that she is in India and not here in the United States because if she were here, the liberals would be calling for her to be prosecuted for daring to shoot a criminal who broke into her house and attacked her family.

Another Day Another "Bizczar" Czar

Once again the Obammunism administration has appointed another Czar who has a questionable past. Obama's 'Safe school czar' once failed to report an alleged sexual relationship between a 15 year male student and an older man. Not only did he not report it, he encouraged it.

A teacher was told by a 15-year-old high school sophomore that he was having homosexual sex with an "older man." At the very least, statutory rape occurred. Fox News reported that the teacher violated a state law requiring that he report the abuse. That former teacher, Kevin Jennings, is President Obama's "safe school czar."

According to an audio tape recently discovered by Fox News the 15-year-old boy met the "older man" in a "bus station bathroom" and was taken to the older man's home that night. When some details about the case became public, Mr. Jennings threatened to sue another teacher who called his failure to report the statutory rape "unethical."

Defenders of Jennings say that there is no evidence that shows he was aware of a sexual relationship between the student and the older man, however, the evidence on the audio tape says otherwise.

In 2000, Mr. Jennings gave a talk to the Iowa chapter of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, an advocacy group that promotes homosexuality in schools. On the tape, Mr. Jennings recollected that he told the student to make sure "to use a condom" when he was with the older man. That he actively encouraged the relationship is reinforced by Mr. Jennings' own description in his 1994 book, "One Teacher in 10." In that account, the teacher boasts how he allayed the student's concerns about the relationship to such a degree that the 15-year-old "left my office with a smile on his face that I would see every time I saw him on the campus for the next two years, until he graduated."

Mr. Jenning's job in the Obama administration is to ensure student safety, and this scandal directly calls into question his ability to do that objectively and effectively. Mr. Jennings and the Obama administration refuse to answer any questions about this newly discovered evidence.

Democrats Shocked at Drop in Fund Raising

The Washington Post published a piece by Paul Kane entitled "Democrats Are Jarred by Drop In Fundraising".

The article states that Democrats have seen a decline in fundraising linking it to complacency and a boycott by many of their business donors, who are basically boycotting the Democrats for their critical views of big business, and also the state of the economy.

While the Republicans have received 1.7 million more in donations than the Democrats for the month of August, the Democrats have seen a 20 percent drop in their donations.

Through August, the DSCC had raised just $27.5 million, a drop of more than 25 percent, or $9.2 million, from the same point two years ago. While donations from special interest political action committees have increased, individual donors are disappearing at a rate that has alarmed party leaders: The DSCC's contributions from individuals was $18.5 million through August, a drop of $12.6 million, or nearly 40 percent, from two years earlier, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

A midyear analysis by the FEC showed that the DSCC declines at that stage had come entirely from individuals who gave $10,000 or more, a small slice of overall contributors but a group that traditionally provides about half the committee's fundraising total. Through June, those individual donors' contributions had declined by more than 50 percent from 2007. The committee is running 12 percent behind its 2005 pace among large donors.

So according to WaPo the Democrats are losing about 25 percent of their donations from individual voters. Of course the Democrats will cite the weak economy as a factor and that may be partially true, but have they even considered that people are fed up with big government ramming bills down their throats whether they want it or not?

What the Democrats fail to realize is that America is still a middle to right country, not all of their supporters are liberal, anti-business, government should take care of me, kind of people. Many Democrats are moderates. Many did not support the 787 Billion bailout bill and many do not support the current attempt to ram a health care bill through Congress that increases the deficit, increases taxes, rations care, decreases services to the elderly, and gives health care to illegal aliens.

Do the Democrats even stop to think that this may be the larger factor in the reasoning behind the drop in donations, especially from individuals. Let's hope not. Let's hope they continue their arrogance and ignorance on this issue all the way to 2010.

In contrast the The National Republican Senatorial Committee donations are up by 30 percent, need say more, it is as clear as the nose on every ones faces except the Democrats in Congress and the White House.

In the mean time folks, please enjoy this GREAT SONG by my good friend, Lloyd Marcus. As many of you know, Lloyd's music is used in my show, with his blessing. Lloyd Marcus, along with many other Black Americans, are proof the resistance to Obama Care and Obammunism is not about race, it is about America and the fear of what Obama and his supporters are turning America into.

W: Obama Has No Clue

According to NewsMax President George W. Bush's former speechwriter Matt Latimer wrote that Bush thought that Barack Obama was unfit for the White House and predicted that vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin would be a disaster for the GOP.

"After one of Obama's blistering speeches against the administration, the president had a very human reaction: He was ticked off," Latimer writes in his forthcoming book, "Speech-Less: Tales of a White House Survivor," which has been excerpted in the October issue of GQ.

"He came in one day to rehearse a speech, fuming. 'This is a dangerous world,' he said for no apparent reason, 'and this cat isn't remotely qualified to handle it. This guy has no clue, I promise you.'"

Bush believed that Hillary Clinton would win the Democratic nomination, but he didn't think much of her as chief executive either, according to Latimer.

"'Wait till her fat keister is sitting at this desk,' [Bush] once said (except he didn't say 'keister')."

When conservatives responded enthusiastically to Palin's selection, Bush advised people to wait "until the bloom is off the rose."

"This woman is being put into a position she is not even remotely prepared for. She hasn't spent one day on the national level. Neither has her family. Let's wait and see how she looks five days out."

Looks like W was smarter than most people, he hit the nail on the head in regards to both Obama and Palin.

The Worcester, MA Tea Party 9/12/2009

It was a damp, rainy Saturday morning when we arrived at Lincoln Square a bit after 11:30 and found about 50 people present there with signs and flags. I spoke with "Matt O'Brien" who is one of the persons responsible for organizing the event. Mr. O'Brien was certainly not shy about letting you know how he felt and why he was attending the Tea Party.

During our conversation, I learned that there were about three bus loads of people from the Worcester that went to Washington D.C. for the 9/12 Rally and that Ken Mandile had informed him that there were about 1,000 people from Massachusetts attending the event in D.C..

The people that I met and spoke with at the Tea Party in Worcester were very passionate about their stand on the issues of health care, government spending and the right to keep and bear arms.

Many of the people driving by the attendees standing on the sidewalk along the street were honking their horns in approval of the signs and banners being held high by the group.

When you consider that many people went to Washington D.C. from the area, and the weather, rain all day, damp and cool and the forecast calling for that the rest of the day, there were quite a few attendees for the Worcester Tea Party.

The persons who attended today's event, most of them because they could not attend in D.C., showed the commitment and tenacity that is needed to defeat Obama's agenda of big government spending and government run health care. This group of hearty people proved that they can walk the walk as well as talk the talk. That speaks volumes for these attendees and those who made their was to Washington, D.C..

I enjoyed speaking with many of the groups attendees, everyone was very friendly and approachable. I was proud to be a part of the Worcester Tea Party 9/12/2009, for I too could not attend in D.C..

This group held a Tea Party event in Worcester on April 15th as did many others throughout the nation. Having just returned from attending the Tea Party in Boston on that day, I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with Worcester's Tea Party which appeared to be as large if not larger in attendance than Boston's. It was clearly more organized and had much better communications equipment.

If you live in Worcester County and wish to attend any of these events when they are organized just go to www.worcesterteaparty.com for more information.

Judge Schedules Trial on Obama Eligibility

According to WorldNet Daily, a California judge today tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010, in a case that challenges Obama's eligibility to be president on questions about his qualifications under the Constitution.

This will be the first time the merits of the dispute have been argued in open court.

In a hearing today before U.S.District Judge David Carter, several motions were heard, including a resolution to long-standing questions about whether attorney Orly Taitz properly served notice on the defendants, which she had.

In a second ruling, Carter ordered that attorney Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation can be added to the case to represent plaintiffs Wiley Drake and Markham Robinson, who had been removed by an earlier court order. Drake, the vice presidential candidate for the American Independent Party, and Robinson, the party's chairman, also were restored to the case.

But the judge did not immediately rule on Taitz' motion to be granted discovery – that is the right to see the president's still-concealed records. Nor did Carter rule immediately on a motion to dismiss the case, submitted by the U.S. government, following discussion over Taitz' challenge to the work of a magistrate in the case.

The judge did comment that if there are legitimate constitutional questions regarding Obama's eligibility, they need to be addressed and resolved.
Carter ordered a hearing Oct. 5 on the motion to dismiss and ordered arguments submitted on the issue of discovery.

If the case survives that challenge, a pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 11 and the trial for two weeks later.

The case would be the first time, according to Kreep, that the actual merits of the dispute will have been heard in open court. A multitude of such disputes have been rejected out of hand by various state and federal courts. Even the U.S. Supreme Court repeatedly has rejected urgent appeals to hear the evidence.

The suit alleges Obama is actually a citizen of Indonesia and "possibly still citizen of Kenya, usurping the position of the president of the United States of America and the commander-in-chief."

Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Complicating the situation is Obama's decision to spend sums estimated over $1 million to avoid releasing a state birth certificate that would put to rest the questions.

In the U.S. Justice Department's motion to dismiss, attorneys didn't address the concerns directly, but instead focused their efforts on technical procedures, suggesting the matter can't be decided in court and that the dozens of plaintiffs cannot demonstrate they have been injured by having Obama in the Oval Office.

"It is clear, from the text of the Constitution, and the relevant statutory law implementing the Constitution's textual commitments, that challenges to the qualifications of a candidate for president can, in the first instance, be presented to the voting public before the election, and, once the election is over, can be raised as objections as the electoral votes are counted in the Congress," wrote Assistant U.S. Attorneys Roger West and David DeJute. "Therefore, challenges such as those purportedly raised in this case are committed, under the Constitution, to the electors, and to the Legislative branch."

President Obama's defenders also said they would file a motion seeking to block any discovery of evidence at this point.

Among the long list of plaintiffs are former ambassador and presidential candidate Alan Keyes and longshot vice-presidential candidate Gail Lightfoot, both of whom ran in 2008.

Justice officials say because neither had a mathematical chance at winning, they were not directly harmed by the election of Obama.
The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

White House "Revised" Obama Student Speech

The White House released the speech that President Obama will deliver to students across the country yesterday at 12 Noon.

Yes folks, that's right they posted the speech a day before the President will deliver it to students across the country and on Labor Day, a national holiday, at that. Odd, don't you think.

Here is the link to the text of the President's speech: http://www.whitehouse.gov/MediaResources/PreparedSchoolRemarks/

I believe there are a couple of reasons for this, first, they miscalculated the public reaction to the President's speech to students in grades as low as Pre-School. Pre-School? Do we really need to encourage kids in Pre-School not to drop out.

Secondly, these people are not stupid, they decided to try and capitalize on their own mistake by letting those in opposition to the speech continue to do so while they "revised" the speech. Then, when there would be little time to review it, release it to the public. Once one reads the released text of the speech, it appears to be a "stay in school" rally speech. So now most people will be saying "what was the concern about my child watching this speech."

As a result, they discredit those who opposed the President preaching to their children via the school. They also create a distraction from the other contested debates about "health care", etc. and even create a bit of doubt as to why the "right" in America is fighting the current health care bill.

Don't fall for it folks, if the speech posted was the original why was it released a day before delivery, and on a national holiday. Why not release it after it was announced so people could read it before deciding if their children should hear it or not.

The answer, in my opinion, is because it is not the original speech. It was revised when the White House began hearing "strong" opposition to it, plain and simple. If you read the educational material that accompanies this speech without being able to read the speech, it certainly leads to many questions as to what the speech is about.

Here are the links to the material to be discussed after the speech, don't forget that the discussion topics were out before the speech, so view them from that standpoint:

http://www.ed.gov/teachers/how/lessons/prek-6.pdf

http://www.ed.gov/teachers/how/lessons/7-12.pdf

Anyway, on to the speech and parts of it that I find funny and a bit odd:

When I was young, my family lived in Indonesia for a few years, and my mother didn't have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday - at 4:30 in the morning.

Sure Barry, and I used to hike 10 - 15 miles to school everyday in two feet of snow.

Maybe you could be a good writer - maybe even good enough to write a book or articles in a newspaper - but you might not know it until you write a paper for your English class. Maybe you could be an innovator or an inventor - maybe even good enough to come up with the next iPhone or a new medicine or vaccine - but you might not know it until you do a project for your science class. Maybe you could be a mayor or a Senator or a Supreme Court Justice, but you might not know that until you join student government or the debate team.

Hmmm, no mention of maybe you could be President, now don't you think if he was trying to show that he had a rough time as a kid too but worked hard and became President, that he would mention that you could even be "President". No mention of it. Maybe because Barry plans on being President for a long time.

What will a president who comes here in twenty or fifty or one hundred years say about what all of you did for this country?

Good Lord, Does he really plan on being President that long?(LOL)

•The President's message will be streamed live on WhiteHouse.gov/live at 12 Noon

I wonder if there will be a spare teleprompter around just in case. ;)

Will Obama Violate Federal Law to Indoctrinate Your Child ?

In what many analysts believe is both an unprecedented and wildly inappropriate partisan move, President Obama has announced that on Tuesday, September 8, he will do an end run around parents and directly target children in what is widely perceived as an effort to implement his extreme leftist political agenda. As millions of parents across the country learn more about his scheme, they have become justifiably outraged. The backlash has been tremendous.

But Obama's extreme overreach goes well beyond political tastelessness. It's actually a violation of federal law.

U.S. Department of Education Secretary Arne Duncan recently sent a letter to school principals encouraging them to cease academic instruction and have classes tune in to a live speech Obama will give to children during school hours on Tuesday at noon. The DOE even provided lesson plans, sample activities and questions that teachers can use to promote the event. The letter encourages teachers to "build background knowledge about the president by reading books about Barack Obama."

Secretary Duncan is a left-wing Chicagoland politician who chose Kevin Jennings as Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools. Jennings is founder of GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network), an extremist group that promotes forced acceptance of homosexuality and transexuality in schools to children as young as five.

Although, due to the backlash, some of the most offensive language has been softened, students as young as kindergarten will, nonetheless, be asked: "Why is it important that we listen to the president? What is the president asking me to do? What specific job is he asking me to do?" Children's writings would later be used "to make students accountable to their goals."

However, Federal law specifically forbids Obama, Duncan or any officer from exercising "any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system." 20 U.S.C. § 3403.
20 U.S.C. § 3403 (Pub.L. 96-88, Title I, § 103, Oct. 17, 1979, 93 Stat. 670)

United States Code Title 20. Education Chapter 48. Department of Education Subchapter I. General Provisions § 3403. Relationship with States

(a) Rights of local governments and educational institutions It is the intention of the Congress in the establishment of the Department to protect the rights of State and local governments and public and private educational institutions in the areas of educational policies and administration of programs and to strengthen and improve the control of such governments and institutions over their own educational programs and policies. The establishment of the Department of Education shall not increase the authority of the Federal Government over education or diminish the responsibility for education which is reserved to the States and the local school systems and other instrumentalities of the States.

(b) Curriculum, administration, and personnel; library resources No provision of a program administered by the Secretary or by any other officer of the Department shall be construed to authorize the Secretary or any such officer to exercise any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system, over any accrediting agency or association, or over the selection or content of library resources, textbooks, or other instructional materials by any educational institution or school system, except to the extent authorized by law.

Matt Barber, Director of Cultural Affairs with both Liberty Counsel and Liberty Alliance Action, has notified his children's school to either opt them out of the President's illegal indoctrination activities on Tuesday, or they will be homeschooled for the day and "taught a lesson in the Bill of Rights."

Said Barber: "Not only is this a violation of federal law, it's just plain creepy. It's surreal. Obama's actions here are right out of the playbooks of Saul Alinsky and Chairman Mao. Soviet Russia? Sure. America? No way. I'm furious. Hands of my children, Mr. President!

"We are a nation of laws," continued Barber, "not a federal cult of personality. Obama and the DOE had better pull the plug on this or outraged parents across the country may just insist that members of Congress dust of their 'high crimes and misdemeanors' cheat sheets from the 1990s."

Liberty Counsel is urging parents to "demand that schools not participate. If the school allows Obama and the DOE to indoctrinate school children, parents ought to opt their children out of this illegal program."

Teddy Loved To Hear Chappaquidick Jokes

According to Ed Klein of Newsweek Ted Kennedy liked to hear about any new jokes about Chappaquidick:

Newsweek's Ed Klein (told interviewer) Katty Kay about Kennedy's love of humor. How the late senator loved to hear and tell Chappaquiddick jokes, and was always eager to know if anyone had heard any new ones. Not that Kennedy lacked remorse, Klein quickly added, seeming to intuit that my jaw and perhaps those of other listeners had just hit the floorboards. I gather it was a self-deprecating maneuver on Kennedy's part, exercised with the famous Kennedy charm, though it sounds like one of those "I guess you had to have been there" things.

Here is the transcript of the clip:

Kay: Ed Klein, that's what I'm hearing today, that people are sad at his passing, and yet celebrating this huge life and its huge long list of accomplishments.

Klein: I think he'd be the last person who would want us, those he's left behind, to, um, be, uh, morose and, and full of bathos. I think he, he --

Kay: He would come in with a big guffawing laugh and make us laugh too.

Klein: He would, yes. You're so right, he would. And he'd probably have a joke to tell as well.

Kay: At his own expense.

Klein: Well y'know, he, I don't know if you know this or not but, one of his favorite topics of humor was indeed Chappaquiddick itself. And he would ask people, "have you heard any new jokes about Chappaquiddick?"

I mean, that is just the most amazing thing. It's not that he didn't feel remorse about the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, but that he still always saw, um, the other side of everything and the ridiculous side of things, too.

Kay: Ed Klein, former foreign editor of Newsweek, and author of a new book on Ted Kennedy.

"...he still always saw, um, the other side of everything and the ridiculous side of things, too...."

Really, what other side, it's funny that someone died and you are responsible for it, it's funny that you refused to take responsibility for it, it's funny that a young lady's life was cut short because of his negligent and criminal act.

Oh yes there is a ridiculous side to all of this, it's ridiculous that we are honoring a man who was responsible for a young woman's death as a result of a criminal act and negligence on his part afterward.

Study: Health Care Reform Will Punish Employers, Kill Jobs

A provision in President Obama's health care reform plan, known as the play-or-pay mandate, requiring businesses to offer health insurance to their employees or face a federal tax would cost employers at least $49 billion dollars a year, putting 5.2 million employees at risk of losing their jobs, according to a study commissioned by the conservative Heritage Foundation.

"Health care reform is not going to be free," said economist Mark Wilson, who authored the study.

Under the provision, another 10.2 million employees will face stunted wages and the loss of other benefits as employers try to find ways to fund the mandates.

"Those will be a difficult decision for them to make and they're also going to have to decide to the extent they can raise prices and pass the cost onto consumers," Wilson said.

ObamaCare To Become TeddyCare

The passing of Senator Ted Kennedy has members of the Senate calling for the health care bill to bear Kennedy's name if it is signed into law. Everyone saw this coming. "Do it for Teddy" will be the new battle cry.

Rush talked aabout it yesterday:
RUSH: Senator Robert Byrd, Democrat, West Virginia, the only Senator to have served longer than the late Senator Kennedy mourned his friend today, saying his heart and soul weeps. Senator Byrd said that he hoped health care reform legislation in the Senate would be renamed in memoriam of Kennedy. "I had hoped and prayed that this day would never come," Byrd said in a statement. "My heart and soul weeps at the loss of my best friend in the Senate, my beloved friend, Ted Kennedy. In his honor and as a tribute to his commitment to his ideals, let us stop the shouting and name calling and have a civilized debate on health care reform which I hope, when legislation has been signed into law, will bear his name for his commitment to insuring the health of every American." Nancy Pelosi has pretty much said the same thing: "Kennedy health reform dream will be real this year."

The main stream news media and the left are tripping over each other trying to encourage the passing of the healthcare reform bill as a way to honor Kennedy.

Brian Williams: In Lieu of Flowers for Ted, Pass Health Care Reform

Just yesterday I recieved this email from Democrats.com: Honor Ted Kennedy by Passing Real Health Reform:

At the 2008 Democratic Convention, after being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Sen. Ted Kennedy said:

This is the cause of my life - new hope that we will break the old gridlock and guarantee that every American - north, south, east, west, young, old - will have decent, quality health care as a fundamental right and not a privilege.

Kennedy chaired the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). On July 15, Kennedy's committee passed the Affordable Health Choices Act, which "will reduce health costs, protect individuals' choice in doctors and plans, and assure quality and affordable heath care for Americans."

It also includes a "strong public option that responds to the wishes of the American people to have a clear alternative to for-profit insurance companies."

Senator Kennedy was too ill to vote for this bill, but he praised its passage:

Americans are an extraordinary people. We have created a nation of liberty and justice. We have defeated forces of oppression, and we have spread prosperity and progress across the globe. When the American people are on the march, there is no barrier that can resist them, no obstacle that can block their path.
The American people are on the march once more , and they will not stop until quality, affordable health care is the birthright of every American. And we are with them every step of the way.

We, the American people, are "on the march." As my Representative, I urge you to act quickly to honor Senator Ted Kennedy by passing real health reform - including a strong public option that offers "a clear alternative to for - profit insurance companies."

Thanks for all you do!

So the push is on to try and use the "National Sorrow" or whatever other sappy tactic these liberals think will work to pass healthcare reform because they know that before Kennedy's death, the bill was a dead stick.

Don't fall for the trick folks, the bill as written is still a bad bill no matter who died, especially Senator Ted Kennedy.

(Yes folks, it's true, I subscribe to Democrats.com emails, I utilize the same strategy uses by many Generals, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I keep up with whats going on in the Democrats arena by subscribing.)
